Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients more than 18 yrs of age with chronic kidney disease stage 5D who opts for peritoneal dialysis as renal replacement therapy modality.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients opting or planning for renal transplant or change of modality to hemodialysis, patients with multiple access failure, patients with known life threatening malignancies, co-existing organ failure like liver or heart failure who have a survival rate of less than a year, pregnant women and patients allergic to silver
