Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1.Patients presenting with inflammatory conditions of the temporomandibular joint with following symptoms will be included in the study: a) Limited mouth opening b) Pain in the temporomandibular joint on jaw movements c) Temporomandibular joint sounds 2.Patient who did not respond to the conservative treatment
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1.Patients unwilling to participate in the study 2.Patients presenting with pain and limited mouth opening due to causes other than that originating from temporomandibular joint will be excluded from the study. 3.Patients presenting with non-inflammatory conditions of the temporomandibular joint (fracture, joint ankylosis, tumors, hypoplasia, hyperplasia) will also be excluded from the study 4.Presence of any systemic disease that could affect the TMJ region 5.Presence of a malignant disease in the head and neck region 6.systemic, viral, fungal or bacterial infections 7.addiction to alcohol or drugs & Pregnant ladies
