Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Adult patients 18â??60 years of age 2. Generally healthy without any immune-compromising systemic diseasessuch as uncontrolled diabetes, AIDS, and so on 3. Teeth (maxillary and mandibular molars) diagnosed with apical periodontitis (AP) with radiographic evidence of AP falling under the periapical index (PAI) 29 scale between 2 and 4. Both symptomatic and asymptomatic teeth will be included
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with age 60 years. 2. Patients with uncontrolled diabetes, any immune-compromising systemic disease, AIDS and so on. 3. Patients with teeth that have been previously treated.

| The treatment outcomes will be classified into three categories: 1.Healed: the absence of any clinical signs or symptoms and normal periapical tissue with an intact periodontal ligament space. 2. Healing: the absence of any clinical signs or symptoms and periapical radiolucency still present but reduced in size 3.Non-healing: the presence of signs or symptoms and/or the emergence of new periapical radiolucency or unchanged or enlarged periapical radiolucency. Timepoint: Patients will be reviewed at 1 week after treatment for any signs and symptoms and then follow up will be done at 3 months, 6 months , 12 months and 18 months | — |
