Bibliotherapy is a story book reading therapy. Identifying state of anxiety and seeking remedial measures reduces anxiety level in children.so i am using bibliotherapy to assess the level of anxiety of children who are undergoing invasive procedures.

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Children of both gender in the age group of 8 - 12 years.Children scheduled for invasive procedures like lumbar puncture, bone marrow aspiration, liver biopsy, renal biopsy, pluerocentesis, abdominal paracentesis etc.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Children who have intellectual disability.Children with visual and auditory impairment.Children who are not interested in reading or children who canâ??t read Tamil and English fluently.children who have altered sensorium or unstable hemodynamicsâ??
