Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Type 1 diabetes 2. HbA1c >= 7.5 percent 3. Duration of diabetes > 1 year

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Pregnant or lactating women 2. Diabetes other than T1DM 3. Any other co-morbidity diagnosed within 5 years/ chronic disease such as liver disorder, GI tract disorder that can affect nutrient absorption. 4. Any other disease condition that can affect nutritional intake such as celiac disease 5. Nephropathy with chronic kidney disease (CKD) stage 4 and 5.
