Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.All cases had deep caries lesions. Periapical radiographs showed that the root apices of all teeth had completed development and that the depth of deep caries of molar teeth exceeded two-thirds of the depth of dentin. 2.Class I caries. 3. Teeth without previous restorations. 4. age group: 20 â?? 40years

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Pregnancy. 2. Antibiotics, analgesics, or anesthetics usage before treatment. 3. Moderate or severe periodontitis or furcation involvement. 4. Cracked tooth, apical periodontitis. 5. Teeth with subgingival caries that could not be isolated with rubber dam. 6. Teeth with no response to pulp tests. 7. Periapical radiographs revealed a periapical shadow or significant widening of the periodontal ligament space. 8. Infectious diseases, serious systemic disease, mental disorder, or failure to cooperate with treatment.
