Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) Isolated periodontal pockets >5mm deep. 2) Patients with chronic periodontitis 3) Patient willing to give the informed consent and willing to comply with the study were selected

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Allergy or hypersensitivity to tetracycline or related compounds. 2) Use of antibiotics within last 3 months. 3) Patients not maintaining satisfactory oral hygiene after phase1 periodontal therapy. 4) Systemic diseases. 5) Pregnancy. 6) Smoking
