Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Septic Shock as per Sepsis 3 criteria within 24 hours from time of admission. Sepsis 3 criteria are as follows: a. Increase in the SOFA (Sequential Organ Failure Assessment) score of 2 points or more b. Despite adequate fluid resuscitation, vasopressors required to maintain a mean arterial pressure of 65 mm Hg or greater c. Serum lactate level greater than 2mmol/L ( >18mg/dL) in the absence of hypovolemia 2. Blood Culture positive for bacterial infection

MeasureTime frame
Participants will be followed up for the outcome in terms of either Death or Discharge from the hospital after recovery, as well as time taken from the diagnosis of septic shock till recovery Recovery is defined as, 1. Afebrile for more than 24 hours 2. Total leukocyte count within 4,000 to 11,000 cells per microliter of blood 3. Peripheral smear does not show features of sepsis like Band cells, Dohle bodies, toxic granulation. 4.Blood pressure is normalizedTimepoint: Participants will be followed up for outcome until (and in terms of) either Death or Discharge from the hospital after recovery
