Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectomy under general anaesthesia 2. ASA Grade I and Grade II

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Those getting converted to open cholecystectomy. 2. Local site infection. 3. Allergy to local anaesthetics (local anaesthetic sensitivity test will be performed in all patients pre-operatively).

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
1. To determine the postoperative pain scores in both the groups. 2. To find the requirement of rescue analgesia and complications with either groups.Timepoint: On shift, at 1 hour, at 2 hours, 4 hours, 6 hours, 8 hours, 12 hours, 24 hours

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
2. To study intraoperative haemodynamic changes in both the groups. 3. To determine early post -operative recovery by modified Aldrete score Timepoint: On shift, at 1 hour, at 2 hours, 4 hours, 6 hours, 8 hours, 12 hours, 24 hours
