Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Isolated ACL tear demonstrated clinically and arthroscopically Patient willing to participate in the study

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Individuals with associated intra-articular pathologies such as meniscal tears requiring excision, posterior cruciate or collateral ligament injury, or degenerative arthritis and osteochondral lesions of the knee. Failed previous ACL reconstructions. Inflammatory arthritis of the knee.

MeasureTime frame
To evaluate the superiority of all-inside ACL reconstructions to the present standard anteromedial portal reconstruction, its impact on outcomes, and possibly to lay down guidelines for such procedures in the armed forcesTimepoint: Improvements in Modified Cincinnati Rating System Questionnaire, Tegner - lyshlom Knee Scores documented pre-operatively and at 12 months follow-up. Clinically patients will be evaluated for integrity of the reconstructed ACL by documenting Lachman, Drawer and Pivot -shift tests. Orthogonal X-Rays of the knee will be obtained.

MeasureTime frame
To evaluate the functional improvements following ACL reconstructions by the two methodsTimepoint: The patients shall be followed up for at least 12 months. They will be reviewed at 08 weeks, 06 months, and, 12 months following surgery. The Modified Cincinnati Rating System Questionnaire, Tegner - lyshlom Knee Scores will be compared at each follow-up. Patients will be evaluated for integrity of the reconstructed ACL by Lachman, Drawer and Pivot -shift tests. Orthogonal X-Rays of the knee will be obtained in the immediate post-operative period and at each subsequent follow-up.
