Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patient should be free of systemic diseases, Presence of at least 1 or 2 interproximal intrabony osseous defect with probing pocket depth >= 5 mm and clinical attachment loss >= 5 mm following initial therapy and which are radiographically detectable, Depth of intraosseous defect component >= 3 mm by clinical and radiographic means which will be confirmed by intrasurgical measurement, A radiographic evaluation of base of the defect should be at least 3 mm coronal to the apex of the tooth.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Evidence of localized aggressive periodontitis, Patients with poor oral hygiene (Plaque Index >1), Patient who is Smokers ( with recent history of smoking more than 10 cigarettes /day) or who consume any type of tobacco products,History of periodontal surgical treatment in quandrant selected for the study, Pregnant females or lactating mothers
