Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: a) Women with acute lactational breast abscess b)Breast feeding patients and those within 6 months of lactation

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: a) Refuse to give consent b)Patients with lactational breast abscess which had already burst open or which had already been treated by Incision and drainage c)Recurrent breast abscess d)Chronic breast abscess shown to be tubercular in origin on culture and sensitivity or histology.
