Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1)Infants of 0 to 6 months age, of either sex, posted for elective / emergency surgeries under general anaesthesia 2)ASA physical status I & II 3)Patients with normal cardiorespiratory function
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1)Refusal by parents for the procedure 2)Infants with fever, upper respiratory tract infection, anaemia(Hb-12gm%), obstructive sleep apnoea(OSA), protein energy malnutrition, overweight(greater then weight for age) 3)Surgeries requiring nasal intubation 4)History of significant systemic disorders, known congenital heart diseases, hypotension (systolic BP 5)Infants with anatomical nasal defects (nasal obstruction) and obvious congenital syndromes 6)Infants with anticipated difficult airway
