Intervention1: Use of ultrasonography to detect rise in ICP.: Optic nerve sheath diameter measured by ultrasound will be used as a surrogate for measurement of ICP to guide mannitol therapy. Control I

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Adult patients (18 â?? 60 yrs) with an ASA physical status I and II 2. Of either sex 3. History of Traumatic Brain Injury 4. Both patients with or without decompressive surgeries

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients below 18yrs or above 60yrs 2. Patients with pan-facial trauma 3. Patients with ocular injury 4. Patients with CT or MRI finding suggestive of impending globe rupture

MeasureTime frame
To cut down on the ill effects of excess osmotherapy by using a measured approach to intra cranial pressure monitoring.Timepoint: 4hrly ICP monitoring to tailor osmotherapy.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Intensive ICP monitoring.Timepoint: 4hrly ICP monitoring.
