Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
1. To evaluate early recovery in patients receiving caffeine and aminophylline from TIVA by measuring the time taken for BIS values to reach 90 from 60Timepoint: time from BIS 60 to BIS 90

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1. To evaluate the time from stopping of propofol and fentanyl infusion after skin suturing to eye opening in all 3 groupsTimepoint: After skin suturing, when BIS value is 60;2. To evaluate the time from stopping of propofol and fentanyl infusion after skin suturing to return of gag reflex in all 3 groups and making the comparisonTimepoint: After skin suturing, when BIS value is 60;3. To evaluate the time from stopping of propofol and fentanyl infusion after skin suturing to hand grip in all 3 groupsTimepoint: After skin suturing, when BIS value is 60;4. To compare the difference in time from stopping propofol and fentanyl infusion to return of spontaneous breathing, that is regular rhythm with adequate tidal volumeTimepoint: After skin suturing, when BIS value is 60;5. To detect the adverse effect of caffeine and aminophylline, by noting the the change in heart rate, blood pressure, etCO2, SpO2, ECG after giving the study drugs and placeboTimepoint: after skin suturing, starting from the time of infusion of study drug till 30 minutes during post operative period;6. To compare the effect of caffeine, aminophylline and placebo on the recovery of patients from TIVA by doing modified aldrete scoreTimepoint: at 1 minutes, 5 minute, 10minute, 20 minute after shifting patient to high dependence unit in the post operative period
