Intervention1: MONTELEUKAST: TABLET MONTELEUKAST 10mg given once a day at night for 6 weeks Control Intervention1: PLACEBO: Dummy capsule filled with Glucose given once a day at night for 6 weeks

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients with age above 18 years diagnosed with nasal polyposis and willing to undergo endoscopic sinus surgery

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with a) uncontrolled diabetes mellitus and hypertension and other significant co-morbidities b) invasive fungal sinusitis c) patients who have taken monteleukast pre-operatively
