Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All the patients who are planned for plate osteosynthesis of long bones including femur, tibia, humerus, radius and ulna after getting fitness from anesthesiologist will be included in the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with intra articular and Periarticular fracture in which pin placement in the juxtra articular fragment is not possible will be excluded from the study. Similarly patient with pathological fracture, open wound, compartment syndrome, infection, delayed presentation with more than 4 weeks and who denied for a valid consent will be excluded from the study.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The two groups will be compared in terms of achievement of anatomical reduction, amount of periosteal stripping during reduction, maintenance of reduction throughout the surgery, duration of surgery and number of assistants require in each surgery.Timepoint: 6 months

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Decrease periosteal damage and less use of bone clamps with better fracture union.Timepoint: 6 months
