Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients having FBS between 126-149 mg/dl and 2 hours PPBS between 200-229 mg/dl will be included in the study. Patients who are willing to give the blood sample for laboratory investigation whenever required.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients having gestational diabetes. IDDM (Insulin Dependent Diabetes Mellitus) Subjects having thyroid dysfunction. Known Hepatic, Cardiac, Renal or any other major illness. Subject those who are not willing to give informed consent.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The outcome is mainly assessed by comparing the HbA1C level of the trial patient before and after the treatment. Timepoint: 1 year

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
It is assessed by comparing the following parameters before and after treatment, a) Assessment and comparison of Siddha diagnostic procedures like Envagai Thervu. b) Variations in other blood parameters like FBS, PPBS and Urine sugar (F), sugar (PP), etc.., c) Improvement in clinical symptoms before and after treatment. Timepoint: 1 year
