Health Condition 1: K74- Fibrosis and cirrhosis of liver

Interventions

Intervention1: Branched chain amino acid: Satchet(containing powder) of weight 10g containing about 6g of branched chain amino acid will be the intervention agent. It will be administered twice a day

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Patients of cirrhosis, irrespective of the etiology 2.Age group : 18â??60 years 3.Having sarcopenia 4.Willing to participate in the study

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Patients with overt hepatic encephalopathy, sepsis, active GI bleed or acute kidney injury 2.Known cases of hepatocellular carcinoma 3.Patients having a Child Pugh score of more than 9 4.Any severe chronic illness including congestive heart failure, chronic kidney disease, neuromuscular disorders or HIV 5.History of any chronic drug intake such as corticosteroids 6.Pregnant patients
