Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Presence of bilaterally impacted lower third molars with a similar extraction difficulty
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1] Teeth affected by acute infections, such as pericoronitis, an acute alveolar abscess at the time of surgery. 2] Patients on steroid treatments. 3] Patients with conditions in which cortisol secretion is altered (Addisonâ??s disease, Cushingâ??s syndrome, and congenital adrenal hyperplasia). 3] Patients with conditions of decreased or altered secretion of saliva (caused by atropine, calcium channel blockers, antidepressants, antihistamines, Sjogrenâ??s syndrome, and radiotherapy) 4] Patients with systemic diseases. 5] Patients who smoke. 6] Pregnant patients. 7] Patient allergic to penicillin or other drugs used in the standardized postoperative therapy. 8] Patient with chronic alcoholism
