Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. American society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) physical status 1 (normal healthy patient ) and ASA 2 (patient with mild systemic disease ) 2. Age between 20 to 60 years 3. Surgeries in prone position under general anaesthesia 4. Duration of surgery less than 3 hours
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients having history of preoperative sore throat or recent upper airway infection ,asthma ,chronic obstructive pulmonary disease 2. Pregnant woman 3. Mallampati grade > II ( anticipated difficult airway ) 4. Known allergies to study drug 5. Patients on chronic medication (NSAID,STEROIDS) 6. Those who require more than one attempt at intubation or traumatic intubation 7. Known smoker 8. Time of intubation > 60 seconds
