Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Rheumatoid arthritis patients between the age group of 30 to 60 years. Both genders are included.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria are patients who suffered from other immune-mediated diseases, inner ear disease, traumatic brain injury, Meniereâ??s disease, metabolic diseases, and cardiovascular disease, exposure to noise, and the use of ototoxic medication different from that used in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis.

MeasureTime frame
To evaluate hearing in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) patients using Otoacoustic emission (OAE).Timepoint: On the basis of the time at which the patient comes for RA followup, the outcome will be assessed considering time for which the patient has undergone treatment over which the disease progressed or regressed.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
This is a pilot study. No secondary outcomes specified.Timepoint: After recruitment of all the patients, outcomes will be estimated, approximately after an year.
