Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All patients of either sex fulfilling ASA Physical status Grade 1 and 2, undergoing elective unilateral total knee arthroplasty are eligible for inclusion in the study.

To compare analgesic efficacy : 1. Assessment of postoperative pain. 2. Time to first rescue analgesia 3. Total amount of analgesia required.Timepoint: Assessment of postoperative pain at 0, 4, 8, 12 and 24 hours using visual analog scale.
