Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: After taking informed parental consent, all newborns with: 1. Gestational age more than or equal to 35 weeks according to new Ballard score. 2. Weight more than or equal to 2 Kg. 3. Receiving phototherapy as per AAP guidelines. 4. Normal serum calcium levels ( >7.5mg/dl) on admission

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Neonates with :- 1. Gross Congenital anomalies 2. Birth asphyxia and hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy 3. Serum bilirubin requiring exchange transfusion as per AAP guidelines 2004 4. Maternal diabetes mellitus 5. Maternal intake of anticonvulsants
