Intervention1: TAP Block with Bupivacaine & Dexmedetomidine: Bilateral 20 ml 0.25% bupivacaine and 2 ml dexamethasone (8 mg) will be administered in a TAP block performed with ultrasonography Control

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients belonging to American society of Anaesthesiologist physical status 1 and 2 Patients undergoing lower abdominal surgery Age group between 20 to 55 years Hemodynamically stable

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patient having allergy to opioids, amide group of local anaesthetic & nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs Patient refusal Patients with deranged coagulation and bleeding parameters (INR >1.5) Infection at puncture site of proposed block (soft tissue infection of abdominal wall and skin) Patients undergoing emergency surgery Presence of communicative or cognitive limitation interfering with pain measurements patient with history of epilepsy
