Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Children having classical features of iron deficiency anemia like, pallor, fatigue palpitations exertional dysopneaetc Hb less than 11.5 g/dl and not less than 7.5 g/dl

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Children less than 5 years and more than 12 years of age Children with other metabolic and endocrinal disorders Children with other causes of Anemia like hemoglobinopathies (Thalassemia’s and sickle cell anemia) Children suffering from infectious diseases like TB Hepatitis leukemia etc

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Attain at least 1.5 g/dl increment in Hemoglobin than baseline readimg of Hb%(before treatment) Reduction in pallor and other symptoms like fatigue, leg crampsTimepoint: At 12 weeks reduction in pallor and other symptoms at 12 weeks
