Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.subjects undergoing fixed orthodontic treatment for minimum of 1 month with gingival index(Loe and sillness)score > 1 2.subjects not using any form of adjunctive chemotherapeutic agents.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Subjects suffering from any systemic diseases. 2.Subjects who have undergone periodontal surgical or non surgical treatment 6 months prior to the study. 3.History of systemic antibiotic administration within 3 months prior to the study or any other regular medication. 4.Pregnancy and Lactation 5.Smoking

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The use of light activated curcumin solution along with scaling will prove beneficial in reducing plaque formation measured with bonded bracket plaque index.Timepoint: Outcome is clarified with the help of measuring clinical parameters at baseline, at the end of 1st month and end of 3rd month.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
The use of light activated curcumin solution along with scaling will prove beneficial in reducing gingivitis measured with sulcular bleeding index and gingival index.Timepoint: At baseline ,and at the end of 1st month and 3rd month.
