Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: A subject will be eligible for inclusion in this study only if all of the following criteria applied: 1 Patients between the age of 18-60 years of either sex. 2 Patients having sign and symptoms of Primary Hypothyroidism. 3 Patients who are already diagnosed as hypothyroidism and under Levo-thyroxine medication but still presenting with the increased TSH level

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: A subject will not be eligible for inclusion in this study if any of the following criteria applied: 1 Patients below 18 yrs and above 60 yrs of age. 2 TSH level above 30µIU/ml. 3 Patients suffering from congenital hypothyroidism and secondary hypothyroidism. 4 Pregnant women, hyperthyroidism, neoplasia, toxic goitre are excluded. 5 Patients who have under gone any type of thyroid surgery. 6 Patients whose symptoms are worsely aggravated after leaving the modern drug Levo-thyroxine (for washout period). 7 Mentally ill/ Retarded patients. 8 Drug induced hypothyroidism.
