Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus, attending the out-patient and in-patient services of Medicine department prescribed with Metformin or Metformin in combination with DPP-4 inhibitor-Teneligliptin, SGLT2 inhibitor-Empagliflozin who are willing to participate in the study will be enrolled from baseline to 3 months followup.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with chronic alcoholism and smoking/tobacco use Patients with primary and secondary causes of bone loss Patients who are on medications that may affect bone metabolism Patients who are not willing to participate in the study, mentally challenged and unconscious patients
