Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.American Society of Anaesthesiologists (ASA) physical status grade I and II. 2.Patients aged between 18 to 60 years. 3.Patients posted for laparoscopic surgery.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Patients with uncontrolled systemic disorder like diabetes, hypertension, hepatic or renal impairment, severe airway disorder, seizure disorder, ischemic and or congestive cardiac diseases,coronary artery disease or recent MI. 2.Concomitant use of drugs like beta blockers,calcium channel blockers ,ARBs, ACE inhibitors, digoxin, alpha-2agonists, anticonvulsants or psychotropic medications. 3.Anticipated difficult intubation. 4.Patients with unstable hemodynamics. 5.Patients with known hypersensitivity or allergy to either dexmedetomedine and lignocaine(study drugs). 6.Unwilling patients.
