Inclusion criteria: All adult patients ( >18 years ) admitted in intensive care unit

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with prior history of psychosis Unconscious patients Patients who are deaf Family refusal Patient with prior history of neurological disorders

To evaluate the incidence of delirium among adult icu patients using confusion assessment method in intensive care unit (CAM-ICU) as a toolTimepoint: Daily morning and evening during the whole ICU stay

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1.To evaluate the risk factors predisposing to delirium occurring in adult patients in ICU 2. To assess the duration of mechanical ventilation, length of stay in ICUand mortality in patients with delirium in comparison to patients who are not delirious 3. To implement the assessment of delirium in ICU on routine basisTimepoint: Daily morning and evening during whole ICU stay
