Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 3 MONTHS TO 12 YEARS OLD CHILDREN ELECTIVELY POSTED FOR UNILATERAL INGUINAL HERNIOTOMY ASA GRADE 1&2

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Coagulopathy Infection at the site of puncture Known allergy to drug used in the study Clinically important cardiac/renal/hepatic/neurological diseases

MeasureTime frame
To Compare intra op and post op analgesic efficacy of landmark and ultrasound guided ilioinguinal and iliohypogastric nerve blockTimepoint: 20 minutes after induction intra operatively till four hours post operatively

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Assessment of intraoperative requirement of additional analgesics, postoperative pain by FLACC SCORE, post operative requirement of rescue analgesics, adverse effects like motor blockade, nausea, vomitting and hematoma at the site of injectionTimepoint: Post surgical incision Intra operatively and post operatively upto 4hours
