Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: a. Subjects suffering from Atisar in pre-school age group (3 to 6 years), irrespective of gender, socio-economic status and food habbits. b. Atisar with mild or no dehydration. c. Atisar only of acute stage (i.e lasting from less than 7 days)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: a. Atisar associated with complaints like vomitting, high grade fever and dehydration. b. Atisar present as upadrava in some other disease. c. K/C/O chronic and persistent diarrhoea. d. K/C/O pravahika, grahani and rakta atisar.

MeasureTime frame
To study the comparative effect of Mustadi syrup and Bilwa syrup in the management of Bal-atisar.Timepoint: 5 Days with follow up on 3rd and 5th day.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To evaluate the reduction in frequency of stools in Bal Atisar using Mustadi syrup. To evaluate the reduction in frequency of stools in Bal Atisar using Bilwa syrup. To compare the effect of both. To observe the adverse effect of both drugs if any.Timepoint: 5 DAYS
