Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1)Elderly hip trauma patients (pelvis and acetabular fractures, head femur fractures, neck femur fractures, Intertrochanteric fractures, and subtrochanteric fractures) presenting to the emergency at AIIMS Jodhpur 2)Age more than 55 years 3)Subjects giving informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients 1) With associated other long bone fractures 2) With associated Severe cranial or spinal cord injury 3)Any contraindication to anticoagulation, including a)Severe active bleeding b)History of venous thromboembolic disease c) Severe ocular trauma
