Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.) ASA physical status of 1 and 2. 2.) Parents consenting for participation in the study 3.)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.) ASA physical status of more than 2. 2.) Parents not consenting for participation in the study. 3.) known allergy to ropivacaine 4.) Renal, cardiac or liver or neurological dysfunction

MeasureTime frame
1.) Intensity of pain measured by VAS ( Visual Analogue Scale) 2.) Duration of post operative analgesia. 2.) Presence of shoulder tip pain 3.) Total dose of rescue analgesia(tramadol) requirement in first 24 hours.Timepoint: Every 4 hourly till first 24 hours after the surgery
