Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Pregnant patients undergoing caesarean section.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Contraindications to spinal anaesthesia, cardiovascular or cerebrovascular diseases, known risk factor for post partum haemorrhage.

MeasureTime frame
Perfusion index is a non invasive and reliable indicator to predict incidence of hypotension following spinal anaesthesia in caesarean section.Timepoint: Following spinal anaesthesia, the value of PI will be noted at regular intervals ( initially at 2 mints interval and then at 5 mints interval )

MeasureTime frame
Changes in perfusion index reflects changes in blood pressure in pregnant patients following spinal anaesthesiaTimepoint: Based on the baseline value and changes in PI after spinal anaesthesia, the incidence of hypotension post spinal anaesthesia will be noted and corelated with PI.
