Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Adult patients aged 18 to 65 years who scheduled for elective valvular heart surgery involving median sternotomy
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Patient refusal. 2. Allergy to local anesthetics. 3. Localized infection. 4. Coagulopathy / Bleeding diathesis 5. Patients on anticoagulants 6. Left Ventricular ejection fraction ( LVEF) 7. Combined valve replacement or repair with coronary artery bypass grafting 8. Emergency surgery 9. Redo surgery 10. Reexploration within 24 hours 11. Inability to understand pain scoring.
