Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: MBBS students of GMC Trivandrum. Students of Fatima Mata National College, Kollam Who give their consent for the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Students who do not give consent to participate in the study.

MeasureTime frame
To estimate the prevalence of Irritable Bowel Syndrome among medical and non medical students.Timepoint: Data of Medical Students will be collected in 1st 15 days of start of study. Data of Non Medical Students will be collected in last 15 days of start of study. Total Duration of study: 1 month.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1.To compare the prevalence of Irritable Bowel Syndrome among medical and non medical students. 2.To compare the factors affecting the difference in the prevalence of IBS. 3.To create awareness about IBS among the medical and non medical students.Timepoint: Stats will be applied after data collection (prevalence and factors affecting will be analysed). Awareness will be created among medical students in 1st 15 days of start of study and in non medical students in last 15 days of study at the time of data collection.
