Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All the patients of hypertension taking anti- hypertensive drugs since last sixth months Adult patients between 18-60years Patients of either gender Patient ready to give written informed consent and willing to participate in the trial

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patient suffering from Gestational hypertension Patients suffering from hypertension with Brain disorders Patients with history of thyroid disorders and taking anti-epileptic medication Patients on chronic medications other than anti-hypertensive drugs Use of any drug that may affect nitric oxide synthesis (nitrates, CNS depressant, steroids) Patients with history of Diabetes mellitus Renal failure patients Patient with history of ischemic heart disease, Transient ischemic attack (TIA), Stroke or peripheral arterial disease Patients with history of recurrent herpes Patients with history of Cancer treated with radiotherapy or chemotherapy during the last year

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Measure changes in systolic blood pressure and Diastolic blood pressure with L-Arginine therapy in hypertensive patients on anti-hypertensive medication.Timepoint: The expected outcome will be measured from Baseline visit i.e on 0day,7thday,14thday and 21thday.
