Intervention1: Sharbat Afsanteen: 25 ml BD Orally for 4 weeks Control Intervention1: syrup liv-52: 15 ml BD orally for 4 weeks

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1 H/O alcoholism > 2 years 2 Serum Bilirubin 3 Raised Liver Enzymes a. AST b. ALT c. Alkaline Phosphatase d. GGT(Gamma glutamyl transpeptidase)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1 H/O alcoholism 2 Age 60years 3 Serum Bilirubin > 10mg/dL 4 AST and ALT > 400U/L 5 Alkaline Phosphatase > three folds of normal value 6 Pregnant and lactating mothers 7 Patients with complication of ALD (Esophageal varices, Ascites, Hepatic encephalopathy) 8 History of any systemic and metabolic diseases(Hypertension & Diabetes mellitus)
