Intervention1: ruptured uterus: The study will be started after obtaining clearance from the Institute scientific advisory council and ethics committee of JIPMER and if the DBT approves for funding. I

Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Pregnant women > 18 years with previous caesarean section(s) undergoing repeat caesarean section (emergency/ planned scheduled) after 36 weeks. Definitions: two groups: Case: is defined as one with thinned out scar (Qureshi10 grade III) or scar rupture detected during repeat caesarean section Control: is defined as one where the scar is grade I (intact strong) at the time of repeat caesarean section
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Women with suspected / confirmed clinical chorioamnionitis 2. Women with known connective tissue disorders
