Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All patients between the ages of 18 and 60 , of American Society of Anesthesiologists physical class I and II, undergoing elective surgery and in whom propofol based induction is planned.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with severe hypotension 2. Patients planned for rapid sequence intubation, pregnant patients 3. Patients requiring IV sedation/opiods before surgery ( eg. cardiovascular co-morbidities) 4. Patients with difficult venous access, thin calibre veins. 5. Patients with known allergy to egg proteins
