Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. All preterm babies described as newborns between 28 to 34 completed weeks of gestation born to mothers with absent/reversed end diastolic flow in umbilical artery doppler flow velocimetry admitted to Nursery and NN ward of Lady Hardinge medical college, New Delhi during the study period 2. Babies who are growth restricted (small for gestational age babies defined as birth weight less than 10th centile according to Fentonââ?¬•s chart) 3. Hemodynamically stable prior to randomization 4. Babies whose parents have given an informed consent
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Any major congenital anomalies Antenatally diagnosed gastrointestinal problems Babies with evidence of birth asphyxia (Apgar score Abdominal distension prior to randomization
