Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Adult patients in the age between 18 and 60 years who scheduled to undergo elective minimally invasive cardiac surgery

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patient refusal. 2. Allergy to local anesthetics. 3. Localized infection. 4. Coagulopathy / Bleeding diathesis/ Patients on anticoagulants 5. Spinal deformities 6. Left Main Coronary Artery (LMCA) disease 7. Left Ventricular Ejection Fraction (EF) less than 40% 8. Cognitive impairment or active psychiatric condition. 9. Inability to understand pain scoring. 10. Emergency surgery 11. Redo surgery 12. Reexploration within 24 hours

Primary

MeasureTime frame
to compare opioid based anesthesia with opioid free anesthesia in minimally invasive cardiac surgery.Timepoint: 48 hours post Extubation

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
to compare: 1) Ventilation hours 2) improvement in pulmonary function and oxygenation. 3) hemodynamic stability in peri operative period. 4) adverse effects( PONV , respiratory depression , pruritus) Timepoint: 48 hours post Extubation
