Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: All preschool children (3-6yrs of age) admitted in the pediatric medical ward of the selected tertiary hospital who - are either male or female (equal number of male and female children shall be taken for the study) are accompanied by a mother who is able to give consent are available during the study period.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Preschool children with difficulty to access veins. Preschool children undergoing unplanned IV cannulation procedure. Preschool children who are critically ill. Mothers of Preschool children who are not willing to participate in the study.
