Health Condition 1: 4- Measurement and Monitoring

Intervention1: End-tidal control (ET-C): Patients undergoing surgery under general anaesthesia with endotracheal tube would receive Sevoflurane via End-tidal control(TM), a digital gas delivery system

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients willing to participate in the study, willing to sign the informed consent. 2. American society of anesthesiology physical status I, II 3. General anaesthetia with endotracheal tube and positive pressure ventilation 4. Elective surgeries 5. Duration of anaesthetic requirement greater than 120 minutes.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patient refusal. 2. Expected duration of surgery less than 60 minutes. 3. Emergency surgeries including full stomach and/or requiring rapid sequence or modified rapid sequence induction of general anaesthesia 4. General anaesthesia requiring supra-glottic airway devices. 5. Patients with previously secured endotracheal tube receiving sedative medication. 6. Patients of American society of anesthesiology physical status III, IV. 7. Anaesthesia for pregnant women and Cesarean delivery.

Sevoflurane consumptionTimepoint: One point measurement immediately after the extubation of the patient (using the ventilator display panel).
