Health Condition 1: G20- Parkinsons disease

Interventions

Intervention1: Wii-Fit Balance Training: A Nintendo Wii game console and Wii-Fit Plus balance board were used for balancing exercises. The balance board exercises are as follows: 1) Soccer Heading. 2
1) Neck flexion and extention(e.g
looking up at the ceiling and towards the feet). 2) Trunk rotation(e.g
playing ball). 3) Reaching actions(e.g
reaching forwards, backwards,or sideways to take an object). 4) Weight shifting(e.g
shifting the body mass from one leg to the other). 5) Stepping(e.g
stepping forwards or backwards). 6) Single leg support(e.g
standing with either foot on the step). 7) Standing on one leg(e.g
lifting one leg off the floor). conventional balance training program for 45 minutes for 2 days a week for 8 weeks.

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) Patients with a diagnosis of idiopathic parkinsonâ??s disease treated with levodopa or itâ??s synergists. 2) Intact cognitive function.(Mini-Mental state examination score > 24 ). 3) Hoehn-Yahr Stages II-IV. 4) No untreated medical conditions (e.g; knee arthritis) that might affect balance and walking functions. 5) Ability to walk 10 meters indoor with or without technical or orthopaedic aids.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Balance problems previous to the disease. 2. Having any visual or auditory impairments. 3. Major depression.
