Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 60 ASA physical status 1 and 2 patients of both genders, aged 18-60 years, scheduled to undergo proximal femur fracture fixation under general anesthesia will be enrolled in the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with a history of substance abuse, chronic analgesic therapy, infection at the block site, patients with polytrauma, neurological deficit in the lower limbs, hemodynamically unstable patients, patients with vascular injuries, psychiatric illness, opioid tolerance, renal dysfunction, coagulopathies, pregnancy, patients unable to comprehend visual analogue scale (VAS) score device, patients refusing consent for peripheral nerve block or allergy to any of the drugs used in the study will be excluded.
