Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Control group:Children aged 6 months to 6 years age group with fever but no history of seizure at present or past.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Children with other CNS co-morbidities like intracranial space occupying lesions, cerebral palsy, metabolic disorders affecting CNS, neuroanatomical malformations, neurobehavioural disorders, neurodegenerative disorder, drug induced neurological manifestations, hematologic disorders and fever on chemotherapy

MeasureTime frame
To study relation between IL6 levels and febrile seizure in children.Timepoint: Children presenting to the hospital within 72 hours of onset of seizure.

MeasureTime frame
To study levels of C-Reactive protein in children with febrile seizuresTimepoint: children presenting to the hospital within 72 hours of onset of seizure.
