Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Diagnosis of Mood disorder such as Depressive episode currently in remission/ Recurrent depressive disorder (RDD)/ Dysthymia/Bipolar disorder in remission (all according to ICD-10 criteria, diagnosed clinically) Drinking alcohol in the last month Providing written informed consent High-risk drinking as detected by Alcohol Use Disorder Identification Test (AUDIT) score 8-19 (8-15: hazardous drinking; 16-19: harmful drinking) Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (HDRS) Young Mania Rating Scale (YMRS) Age: 18-65 years Sex: male
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Subjects with severe communication difficulties (language problems, deafness) Subjects with intoxication or severe withdrawal at time of assessment (will be approached later on again if they are willing) Alcohol Use Disorder Identification Test (AUDIT) 19 Other substance user (except smoking) Studies in alcohol treatment settings Uncooperative or unwilling to participate in the study.
